I uninstalled the touch pad and apparently deleted and removed the elan touchpad files from the computer because after I installed all the driver software from the support page listed for this product I received a message:
"Device Not Connected!" and another message "The driver version does not suit this touchpad.Please check the device in system and install the suitable driver."
It is like the computer does not have a touchpad now. How do I fix this? Why did it not work with the touchpad drivers from the support page?

The series does have Synaptics option. Please download and install
