Hi @DanielSky

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for describing the situation so clearly. I understand you're aiming for a seamless single-cable setup with your Philips 329P1H monitor—handling 4K video, power, network, and peripherals through USB-C.

Let's make sure we isolate the issue properly before diving into steps.

To help pinpoint the cause, could you confirm a few details:

Laptop Model and Port Type

  • Which exact HP laptop are you using?
  • Does it have a Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode support?

Cable Specifications

  • Is the USB-C to USB-C cable rated for 4K video and 100W power delivery, or is it a charging/data-only cable?
  • Do you know if the cable supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 or higher, or Thunderbolt?

Monitor USB-C Port

  • Are you connecting to the USB-C upstream port on the Philips monitor (the one meant for video input)?
  • Is the monitor set to the correct input source (USB-C) when you try this?

Power and Peripheral Behavior

  • When you connect the USB-C cable, does the monitor charge the laptop?
  • Do the monitor’s built-in webcam, Ethernet, or USB ports respond at all?

Operating System and Drivers

  • Are you running Windows 11?
  • Have you installed the latest graphics and USB drivers from HP for your laptop?

Once I have these details, I’ll guide you through the most accurate and effective steps to get your setup working as intended.

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
