Hi @DESKTOP-I3U0DO0,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the touchscreen on your HP Pavilion x360 (14-dh1178tu) is not working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Restart the Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve touchscreen issues.
Check Windows Touch Settings:
- Go to Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings.
- Under Hardware, click Pen and Touch and verify that touch is enabled.
Update or Reinstall Touchscreen Driver:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices and look for HID-compliant touch screen.
- Right-click and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If updating doesn’t work, right-click HID-compliant touch screen and choose Uninstall device. Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Additional troubleshooters and choose Hardware and Devices.
Check for Windows Updates: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install any available updates.
Perform a System Restore (if recently stopped working):
- If the touchscreen recently stopped working, try using System Restore to revert your system to a time when it was functioning.
