Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-ae055na

I have a HP Spectre x360 13-ae Ona, running Windows 10 64bit. If the screen refresh rate is set to 30 hertz the screen is flickering slightly. If the screen refresh rate is set to 60 hertz, then the screen goes berserk with Flickering and horizontal streaking and vertical streaking, with a black lined background. I have a BENQ 28 4k monitor, but that when connected does not show any flickering or streaking, etc. When restarted the laptop screen resets to 60 hertz with the berserk screen. However, when going to Settings and resetting to 30 hertz, then the problem goes down a little. In Settings only 30 and 60 hertz refresh rate is offered. I have updated the screen drivers but with no success. Before this was not a problem; I mean both the laptop and Benq monitor were working OK together. Is the screen finished, or is it a driver problem, or compatibility problem? The laptop has hardly been used actually. Any help much appreciated. ys CM
