hello, as of this morning, i opened my computer, and was prompted by mcaffee asking to pay for a subscription, as i clicked no, a grey pixelated band stretching horizontal at the bottom of the screen appeared, and ive tried for 8 hours to get rid of it, im not sure if its a virus or hardware/software issue but have tried all the hp options of scanning it, even doing a system recovery, all to no avail. you can still access the icons at the bottom but you cant really watch full screen video as 2" of the whole bottom is grey. any ideas as to what it is and how to fix it?, thanks. rob.

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with the computer.
I will be delighted to assist you here.
Re-start the notebook, keep tapping F10. Check if you see the line's in the F10 screen as well.
If yes, then it's a hardware failure.
In that case, I'd request you to speak to the support team for further assistance. 🙂
