Hi @dk243,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • The exact HP laptop model you’re using.
  • Which update was installed today (Windows update, driver update, or BIOS update).
  • Does the shaking happen continuously, or only when moving the laptop lid or running certain applications?
  • Have you connected the laptop to an external monitor, and if so, does the issue appear there as well?

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Check Display Driver: Open Device Manager → expand Display adapters → right-click your graphics driver → Update driver.
  • Adjust Refresh Rate: Go to Settings → System → Display → Advanced display settings and confirm the refresh rate is set correctly (usually 60Hz or higher depending on your panel).
  • BIOS and HP Updates: Run HP Support Assistant to check for pending BIOS or firmware updates that may stabilize the display.
  • External Monitor Test: Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the external display works fine, the issue may be with the laptop’s built-in panel or cable connection.

If the problem continues after these steps, it may require service to check the display panel or internal connections.

I hope this helps.
