Hi @Mark944,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing issues with an HP Digital Camcorder or built-in camera, here are some general troubleshooting tips you can try:

Check the Battery: Make sure the battery is inserted correctly and has sufficient charge. If it's low, recharge it using the supplied AC adapter or USB cable. Ensure the camera is turned off while charging.

SD Card Issues: If the camera displays a "!" marking, your SD card may be low speed or incompatible. Try formatting the card using the camera and not a PC, or upgrade to a higher-speed card.

Clear Focus Issues: Switch between Macro and Normal Mode if the preview is not clear while shooting. This can help adjust focus depending on your shooting conditions.

Low Light Conditions: For indoor or low-light environments, keep the camera and target steady, as the camera may extend photo exposure time.

USB Connection Problems: Ensure that the camera is connected to your computer via the mini USB 2.0 cable provided. You can manage your media using ArcSoft MediaImpression software for better functionality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
