I cannot figure out how to disable touchpad gesture such as changing the resolution. Is there a special way to do it on this laptop?

Registry has tens of thousands of entries, so there's not way to narrow it down. As to the drivers, unless you uninstalled the drivers, they would not be missing as they would have come preloaded on the computer.
