Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

How do I enable the hdmi out port. connecting to any tv or monitor just produces a blank screen. connecting my old laptop  to any monitor gives the display exactly as expected, so it is not an issue with the monitor.

Hold down the Windows key and tap the P key to select the output.

 

That is predicated on whether you have selected  PC input  in your smart HDMI tv's menu.  Some smart TV's allow auto selection of the input type.  

 

It is also critical to note that you must be using the correct HDMI port.

Thank you for the suggestion, but that did not change anything. I also spent three hours yesterday working with an HP support technician and he tried a lot of things but nothing worked. He finally just had no idea what else to try and closed the ticket. Think I just have to return it.
