The easiest and cleanest way to connect a discrete GPU to laptop it by using an external Thunderbolt enclosure. Based on the model, and looking at the User Guide for the HP Pavilion Gaming - Laptop 15-dk100 CT0. That model does not have any Thunderbolt ports. The USB type C port is only for USB and DisplayPort output functionality.
