I can't type the symbol € using Alt Gr + 5 Result of doing so is nil. I can type it wait Alt 0128 but that is not the easy way, I need to do it often. Goes for word processing (LIbre Office), Mail, Gmail and sofar every program I used.
Ctrl + Alt + 5
Ctrl + Alt + e
Ctrl + Alt Gr + 5
nothing works to get a € symbol What should I try next?

Hi,
This is something to do with Windows, not with your machine. Please use the following combinations depending on which keyboard available on your machine
Regards.

Hi Banhien,
Thanks for your response, but only Alt 0128 works. I use this symbol often in financial documents so I really want to use a real shortcut for typing this character.
If it has to do with Windows, why then doesn't it work on this laptop with an explicit € symbol on the keyboard. Active Keyboard is US , language is Dutch. It's an brand new laptop, Supplier doesn't understand it, ask Microsoft he says. That's easy. One buys a laptop with windows 10 and the supplier says goto Windows.
No, it is from HP and HP has to tell me how this should be done with the € key.
Thanks, anyway, Ben
