hp envy x360 Model 15-aq292cl external monitor not working properly.

i have connected a external monitor to my laptop by usb-c to hdmi cable.

laptop recognizes the adapter but monitor say no hdmi signal from your device.

does this laptops usb-c support video out ? when i connect the monitor through the hdmi port with an hdmi cable it works properly, but nothing shows when i connect through the usb-c port. I have updated all windows drivers and drivers for dell monitors.

please help on what i should do next.

I don't believe HP supplies a specs as shown

I can't tell but I believe its USB-C port does NOT support video out. Nearly all HP Envy 15-e* machines support video out from USB-C port
