Hello all.

So I have this HP laptop, I bought  used in good conditions in 2020 (manufactured probably 2017/18).

The problem is fading into the bright white colour all over the screen.

Hint: when I reposition  the screen comebacks to normally visible display, but then start up fading again, sometime when I keep holding screen in my hand to reposition, and sometime press the central part of the screen, or corners- it helps.

Problem seems more physical rather than virus/ or needs to jump to BIOS.

In the past with another laptop there was a problem of black screen which showed that the monitor tape was overstretched.

Any idea what could be the reason for whitening the screen as described above?

I consider screen or tape replacement, alternatively goodbye forever laptop - depends on costs and convenience of repair.

Thanks for any advice.
