hi. so i have recently bought the HP pavilion 360 2 in 1 laptop.
my question is, can I put a screen protector on this laptop safely and without damaging the screen when I close it?
I'm hoping to use a stylus but don't want to damage my screen.

Hi @Minijess96 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Yes, you can safely put a screen protector on your HP Pavilion x360 2-in-1 laptop without damaging the screen when you close it. A screen protector can provide an additional layer of protection, especially if you plan to use a stylus.
Here are some tips to ensure safe use:
1. Choose the Right Type of Screen Protector:
- Tempered Glass: Offers excellent protection against scratches and impacts. It is durable and provides a smooth surface for stylus use, but it might add a slight thickness to the screen.
- Plastic Film: Thinner than tempered glass, these protectors can protect against minor scratches and fingerprints. They are often cheaper but may not provide as much protection against impacts.
2. Check for Compatibility:
- Ensure the screen protector is specifically designed for the HP Pavilion x360 model to match the screen dimensions and accommodate any sensors or cameras.
3. Proper Application:
- Clean the screen thoroughly before applying the screen protector to avoid dust and air bubbles.
- Follow the instructions carefully to ensure the protector adheres smoothly.
4. Closing the Laptop:
- A properly installed screen protector should not interfere with closing the laptop. Ensure there are no edges peeling up or debris trapped between the screen and keyboard, as this could cause pressure when the laptop is closed.
5. Stylus Use:
- A screen protector can protect the screen from potential scratches from a stylus. Make sure the stylus you are using is compatible with the protector type to avoid any loss of sensitivity or friction issues.
