I bought this HP Pavilion laptop with the intent to sometimes use it with two external monitors. It has one hdmi port and I can easily connect one screen to it, but I can't find anything that works with this computer to connect the other screen. I bought a usb-c to hdmi hub (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DHQ2X8Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it didn't work with this HP (even though it was compatible with several other HP's). I have 2 USB ports and one usb-c. I don't want it to mirror, I want it to extend. Can anyone suggest something that will really work? (PS I've had this one month and after calling HP and waiting forever, I was told there would be a charge to help me???? UGH)

Hello @juliagooliaz,
Unfortunately, as stated by your laptop's Specifications page, the HP Pavilion - 15-cs0064st's USB-C port is data transfer only.
While it may not be the most stable, what I can suggest is purchasing a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter such as this one. I can't verify that it'll work well but the reviews are quite positive and this should allow you to set up dual monitors.
Hope that helps,
Eddy

Hello @juliagooliaz,
Private messaging should really not be necessary here. The consumer range laptops' USB-C port normally do not support the DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
However, a specific model/product number would be appreciated to confirm this. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Forum)
Information on how to find a laptop's model/product number is detailed in this HP document.
Kind regards,
Eddy

Hi EddyK, Thank you so much for answering. I can't believe that would be the case! The whole reason I bought it was for using with two monitors. I wonder how long I have to return this. I really can't use it without...
Model #15-cs0064st.
THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP. 🙂

EddyK, You've been so helpful. I did get one of those and it is working GREAT! I can't believe I've been trying to get an answer to this question for a month. You are fantastic and I really appreciate it. I'm new to the forum, but if I can give you a thumbs up or something, I will! 🙂
