i cannot find the pinch zoom button to turn off

Hi I have the above laptop and cannot find the pinch zoom button to turn off....it is an Elan touchpad ….can someone help please?

You can change the gestures and settings of your Elantech touchpad by following these steps:

1. Click Start and then Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel, click on the Mouse icon.
   Note: If the Control Panel is in Category View, under View by, click either Large icons or Small icons.
3. From the Mouse Properties window, click on the ELAN tab.
4. Click on the Options button.
5. From the Elan Smart-Pad window, there will be three tabs you can select from to configure each gesture and setting separately.
6. Once changes have been made click on Apply to save your changes.
7. Click on Ok once you are finished to close the window.

I also have an Elan touchpad, on a 17-by1053dx. If I go to Settings/Devices, then click on Mouse or Touchpad, there is no Elan Smartpad or any other tab that allows me to turn off the pinching gesture. I have the latest elan driver for Windows 10/1903, from the HP website.

How can I turn off pinching???

I understand that you would like to disable the Pinch to zoom option.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

1. Click on start and then click on settings.
2. Go to devices.
3. On the left panel click touchpad.
4. Then uncheck pinch to zoom option.
