Hello there !
I got an HP EliteBook 8440p HP website with specs. This notebook contains a NVIDIA NVS 3100M graphic card as showed on HP website.
My problem is : I can't find the graphic card in Device Management (even in unknown devices) and can't install any drivers : from nVidia website neither drivers on HP website. It says "Nvidia graphics driver can not find compatible graphics hardware.".
The only driver working at the moment is Intel HD Graphics, but the integrated graphic card is really low on performance.
How may I find the nVidia graphic card on Windows and install drivers so I can play games with best results ?
Notice that I tried on Windows 7 & Windows 10 both on x64.
Thanks a lot guys !

Please try to download and install
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61001-61500/sp61073.exe - for 64bit Vista
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47754.exe - for 32bit Vista
Regards.

Hi, @wajahat2
Very few 8440p's come with the optional Nvidia discrete graphics.
Most of them come with just the onboard Intel graphics.
Your notebook only has the onboard Intel graphics as evidenced by what you observed.
Your model did not have the Intel/Nvidia switchable graphics.
That feature didn't come to be until a couple of model years later.

As @Paul_Tikkanen mentioned above, the series has many models/products and the following datasheet may make you think your machine has Nvidia card (your link is not accessible)
http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2010/mobility2010/HPEliteBook8440pDatasheet.pdf
The sheet also says
Make choices
Intel® Core™ i7 and Intel® Core™ i5 processors deliver intelligent technology for outstanding performance on the most demanding tasks. Choose between integrated or discrete graphics with dedicated video memory for more graphics intensive environments.
And did you choose to buy your machine with Nvidia card ?
Regards.

Hi,
If believed your machine does have Nvidia card, please use one of exe files above (depending on your Vista 32 or 64 bit).
