Product: HP Spectre x360 - 15t-ch000 CTO

Hello,

I have an HP Spectre with the i7-8705G processor containing the AMD VEGA M GL dedicated GPU. I am a student getting my PhD, and some of the software I use requires updates to the GPU driver to work correctly. Currently, the latest supported driver from HP is 23.20.792.1280 from 2018. However, this does not include support for a few things that I need. The most recent driver is 31.0.21001.46001 from August of 2023 and it contains the required updates that I need. However, HP has not updated their drivers and I am unable to install it without an error.

 

Is there any way to install this update since HP has decided to not support this GPU at all? I cannot do my work without this update and HP doesn't seem to care about updating their software. Furthermore, the integrated GPU is not nearly powerful enough to do what I need it to.
