@Creater, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're facing an issue where the integrated webcam is not working and it's not showing up in Device Manager on your HP Notebook - 15g-dr0006tx running Windows 11. Let's go through some steps to help resolve this:

Check if Webcam is Disabled in BIOS

Sometimes, the webcam might be disabled at the BIOS level.

  1. Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Look for an option like "Integrated Camera" under System Configuration or Advanced.
  3. Make sure it is Enabled.
  4. Save changes and exit BIOS.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP provides a built-in tool to check hardware functionality.

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  3. Select Component Tests > Webcam and run the test.
  4. If the webcam fails the test, it may be a hardware issue.

Use HP Support Assistant to Detect Missing Drivers

HP Support Assistant can automatically detect and install missing drivers.

  1. Download and install HP Support Assistant.
  2. Open the app and go to My Devices > Updates.
  3. Check for updates and install any available camera or imaging device drivers.

Manually Install Webcam Driver (if available)

If the webcam is not listed in Device Manager:

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Click View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Look under Imaging Devices or Cameras.
  4. If still not visible, go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and:
    • Enter your product
    • Select Windows 11 as OS
    • Download and install any available camera drivers or chipset drivers.

Reset Windows Camera Permissions

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
  2. Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are turned ON.
  3. Scroll down and ensure apps like Camera, Zoom, or Teams have permission.

Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Run the Camera troubleshooter.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
