@Creater, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand you're facing an issue where the integrated webcam is not working and it's not showing up in Device Manager on your HP Notebook - 15g-dr0006tx running Windows 11. Let's go through some steps to help resolve this:
Check if Webcam is Disabled in BIOS
Sometimes, the webcam might be disabled at the BIOS level.
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then F10 to enter BIOS.
- Look for an option like "Integrated Camera" under System Configuration or Advanced.
- Make sure it is Enabled.
- Save changes and exit BIOS.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
HP provides a built-in tool to check hardware functionality.
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select Component Tests > Webcam and run the test.
- If the webcam fails the test, it may be a hardware issue.
Use HP Support Assistant to Detect Missing Drivers
HP Support Assistant can automatically detect and install missing drivers.
- Download and install HP Support Assistant.
- Open the app and go to My Devices > Updates.
- Check for updates and install any available camera or imaging device drivers.
Manually Install Webcam Driver (if available)
If the webcam is not listed in Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager.
- Click View > Show hidden devices.
- Look under Imaging Devices or Cameras.
- If still not visible, go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and:
- Enter your product
- Select Windows 11 as OS
- Download and install any available camera drivers or chipset drivers.
Reset Windows Camera Permissions
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are turned ON.
- Scroll down and ensure apps like Camera, Zoom, or Teams have permission.
Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Camera troubleshooter.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
