keys have stopped working first symbol typed @ as a 2 now I can't use full. Space bar zxcm,.

Hp envy 13 inch. Microsoft have reset my whole machine.  Its a hardware issue   first the @ key typing as 2using  US keyboard now I can't use shift key on left  space bar. Z x c m , .  Having to rely on onscreen keyboard.  First one key then rapidly others keys in under 30 minutes _not dirt or dust as keys starting failing one after another within 30 minute period. Have tried everything. Can anyone tell me how to make keyboard return to working please or does it need a hardware repair

I don't know why so many folks think a system reset is a Miracle Cure to fix everything -- as with any hardware issue, this this just a lot of work for nothing.

I too think it is a keyboard hardware issue, but to confirm this, plug in an external keyboard -- which should work fine.

How old is the PC, is it still under the warranty?
