Hi @Aviral123,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Wide Vision HD camera isn't working on your Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15, there could be a few reasons why this is happening. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check Device Manager: Press Windows Key + X, then select Device Manager. Look for Imaging devices and expand it. See if your camera is listed there. If you see a yellow exclamation mark next to the camera, it indicates a driver issue.
  • Update Drivers: Right-click on the camera device and select "Update driver." Follow the prompts to search automatically for updated driver software. If there's an updated driver available, Windows will install it.
  • Reinstall Drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't work, try uninstalling the camera drivers. Right-click on the camera device in Device Manager and select "Uninstall device." Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the drivers automatically.
  • Check Privacy Settings: In Windows 10 or 11, go to Settings > Privacy > Camera. Make sure that the "Allow apps to access your camera" option is turned on. Also, scroll down and ensure that the toggle switch under "Choose which Microsoft Store apps can access your camera" is enabled for the apps you want to use the camera with.
  • Check Camera App Permissions: If you're trying to use a specific app (like Zoom or Skype), check its settings to ensure it has permission to access your camera.
  • Physical Cover: Some laptops come with a physical cover for the camera. Make sure this cover is not blocking the camera lens.
  • Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the software troubleshooting steps work, there may be a hardware issue with the camera itself.
  • System Restore: If the camera was working previously and suddenly stopped, you could try using System Restore to revert your laptop to a point in time when the camera was working correctly.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a deeper software or hardware problem with the camera.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
