I have a intel I7 8th gen cpu and gtx 1050 gpu. I have enabled using my gpu with the application 'valorant' my main game in nividia control panel using the 3d settings and adjusting settings for that specific application. I also have in global settings, the preferred processor set as my gpu. However, when I go to look at my physx in nividia control panel, the built in display on my laptop is connected to Intel (R) UHD graphics 630 rather than my gpu which is next to it. When I go to display settings in with windows 11, the display settings show that my display is connected to the intel graphics and even though there is a drop down list, I do not have the option to switch to my gpu. My main issue with this it that I do not have display settings in the nividia control panel which allows me to try overclocking my display, but this could also mean that when playing games, my gpu is not in use and therefore I get worse frames and quality. Any help?

Hi @Munco
Welcome to the HP Support Community. We are here to help you with that.
Here’s how to overclock with NVIDIA:
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Select the Change Resolution page.
- Select Customize… from below the drop-down menu.
- Click Enable Resolutions Not Exposed by the Display, and then click Create Custom Resolution.
- Click on Refresh Rate and increase it by 5hz to start.
- Hit Test, then Apply.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

If you do not have those options, please follow the steps below once NVIDIA Control Panel is open:
- Expand the "Performance" option and select "Adjust GPU Settings" from the left pane.
- Click "Custom Clock Frequencies." Drag the "Core Bus" slider to the right to increase the processor speed.
- Drag the "Memory Bus" slider to the right to increase RAM frequency. Click "Apply" to overclock the video card.
Let me know the outcome of it.
