hello, today I bought a second hand HP probook, eveyething works just fine, the laptop is even under international warranty, but fof some reason, I cant say its capped on 60hz, when just moving mouse around or watching a video its completly fine
(ofc Im using secondary monitor) but when I try to scroll down a little bit the page or I want to play some easy games on it, it suddenly starts acting like 60hz or even less, internal monitor programm detected 144hz only on browser etc. and for some reason in minecraft started beeing capped on that god **bleep** 60hz even tho monitor and game/aditional fps counter measured over 180fps
any ideas? It isnt a big issue of usage but it would be cool to fix it if it can be somehow fixed
thanks for everything

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06943526#AbT10
It only has (1) HDMI 2.0 (cable sold separately). . With a right HDMI cable (version 2 or above) you can get FHD at 120Hz or 4K at 60Hz. The ROT is resolution goes up the refresh rate will go down and vice versa.
Now, check your cable first and resolution of your monitor.

I did say "The ROT is resolution goes up the refresh rate will go down and vice versa." Now you use lower resolotion you should get better refresh rate,
Hope this makes sense.

Hello, it worked for some time somehow, however now it started doing the same thing, through programm that counts fps I got to see that laptop generates around 180 frames per second, however I get low framerate even on the laptop display as well as on monitor which worked just fine on 144hz for some time on the same resolution (1444x1080p)
