Hi @Suresh77,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing a screen flickering issue on your HP Pavilion laptop after it wakes up from sleep mode. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Graphics Driver Update: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. You can check and update them through the Device Manager or by visiting the official website of the graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel).
Power Settings: Adjust the power settings to see if it makes a difference. Sometimes, power settings can cause issues with the display when waking up from sleep mode.
- Right-click on the battery icon in the system tray.
- Select "Power Options."
- Click on "Change plan settings" for your current power plan.
- Choose "Change advanced power settings."
- Look for the "PCI Express" option and make sure "Link State Power Management" is set to "Off."
Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up to date. Windows updates may include fixes for various issues, including display problems.
Check for Background Processes: Some background processes or third-party applications may interfere with the display when waking up from sleep. Try disabling unnecessary startup programs and see if the issue persists.
Hardware Acceleration: If the problem occurs while using specific applications (e.g., web browsers), try turning off hardware acceleration in those applications' settings.
System File Checker (SFC) and DISM: Run the System File Checker and Deployment Image Service and Management Tool to check and repair system files.
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Run sfc /scannow and let it complete.
- After that, run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
HP Support Assistant: Use HP Support Assistant to check for updates and run diagnostics on your laptop. It can help identify and fix hardware and software issues.
Restore to Previous State: If the problem started after a specific update or software installation, consider restoring your system to a state before the issue occurred using System Restore.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-

Hi
Thanks for your update. I checked few things and my graphics drivers are up to date. Also I see this issue whenever I use my mouse or key pad after my system woke up. If I touch the screen directly, it looks good. Once I rebooted my system, it came back to normal. The issue occurred only if I use my mouse or keypad. Could you please assist me here further to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance.
