Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upgraded to windows 11 about 2 months ago...no problems.  Had to go back to 10 (clean install)....a few problems. Had to lose Avast anti virus and turn on windows defender....ok. The only thing I can find that changed was Windows Defender got a security intelligence update the night I turned it on. For 2 years up to that point, I had  touch screen, a wireless Logitech mouse (USB) anfd headset.  Now I go to settings>system>about and pen and touch says this is not a touch screen. Anything other than a thumbdrive is unrecognized by windows in USB drives. I got code 43, code 28, request for descriptor failed, no drivers required, something about PnP devices.....I've been thrun control panel hardware troubleshooters, HP HW Diagnostics, downloaded drivers,,,,some where I got a critical hardware failure,,,I think itwas a component test on USB controller? adapter maybe?  Anyway, computer works but I hate this **bleep** Elan touch pad. I want my touchscreen and mouse back.  HID touch screen does not show up in device manager under hidden devices. Everything worked when I shut down that night. Nothing worked the next morning. The only thing that was different was a securityupdate for defender (that I could see)
