Hello, in last friday I dropped my laptop from a height of 30 cm. I thought that all is ok because it was low and from outside it did not look damaged. But when I started my laptop I heard weird sound. It was louder. I dont know what can i do with this situation. I think that something is wrong with ventilator. What should i do?

Hi,

Does the computer still work? Usually, the sound is either from the hard drive or from the fan. If from the hard drive the PC is probably not working normally.

You can replace the fan quite easily. The part number is 813946-001

You can find at HP reseller

Example:

https://eu.eetgroup.com/search?query=813946-001

or searching online with part number

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=813946-001&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

On page 52 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the fan.

Hope it helps,

David
