HP Pavilion - 14-ce0001nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,
I have a problem connecting an external monitor via the USB-C port on my PAVILION 14-ce0001nw laptop.
I have a docking station with USB-C input and VGA and HDMI outputs.
Unfortunately, the monitor does not detect any input signal.
My question is: does the USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1 port on my laptop support video signaling?

Its specs

           https://support.hp.com/pl-pl/document/c06123386

It ONLY has 1  USB Type-C™ 3.1 Gen 1 (tylko transfer danych, maks. 5 Gb/s) only, up to 5Gb/s) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable

Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                https://www.amazon.com.au/CableCreation-Adapter-Windows-Compatible-2560x1440/dp/B013G4CJM8

For more connectivity, please use

                          True Universal Docking Stations

Banhien, thank you for the clarification.
The specification of my laptop says that the USB-A ports have the same characteristics as the USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1) port, so I don't understand why USB-A supports video transmission and USB-C does not.
My docking station is:
https://www.amazon.com/USB-Hub-Multiport-Adapter-Compatible/dp/B08397MVWD.
Is there any possibility to use this device to connect a monitor?

Did you know there are many different pins on each type of USB.* port ? Therefore they are NOT the same, those DisplayLink Certified mentioned adapters, at this stage, are not designed for USB-C.

No, the USB-C does not support video out. I know HP has a product called  HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 (5TW13AA) but I have not tested it. This may work for both USB-C and USB-A.
