@Veer0001,Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding mouse issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Check Battery and Connectivity:
- Ensure your wireless mouse has fresh batteries or is fully charged.
- Verify that the USB receiver for the wireless mouse is securely connected to the computer.
Resynchronize the Mouse:
- If the wireless mouse is not responding correctly, you can resynchronize it:
- Plug the receiver into a USB port on your computer.
- Press the Connect button on the receiver until the light starts to flash.
- Press the Connect button on the underside of the mouse until the light on the receiver stops flashing.
Update Drivers:
- Check for any updates to your mouse and touchpad drivers via the Device Manager.
- Right-click on "Start," go to "Device Manager," and under "Mice and other pointing devices," update the drivers.
Change Mouse Settings:
- Adjust the mouse pointer speed:
- Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Mouse.
- Click on the Pointer Options tab.
- Adjust the slider for pointer speed as needed.
- You can also adjust the double-click speed and enable ClickLock if needed.
Remove External Interference:
- Ensure there are no objects blocking the signal between the mouse and the USB receiver.
- If possible, try using the mouse on a different surface, as it cannot work effectively on glass, translucent, or reflective surfaces.
Check for Software Interference:
- See if any software running in the background may be causing the mouse to lag. Disable unnecessary programs from starting up with the computer.
Test Other USB Ports:
- Try connecting the mouse receiver to a different USB port. Sometimes USB ports may malfunction.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
