The problem starting a day before, i was browsing with my pc notebook. But when i was done the system was slowing down. The task bar wasn't working and the start bar wasn't working either. Even my windows key button wasn't working, so i could not shutdown my pc. So i decided to use the power button to shut it down.

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Is the Notebook powering back up and booting to Windows now or are you facing the same issue?

Meantime I suggest you run a Hard drive test to confirm the Hardware Functionality

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Hard drive

Let me know how it goes

Thank you 😊

Thanks but i decided to follow a post i saw online. After switching off the system, i removed the battery and push down the power button for atleast fifteen seconds to completely drain the residue power. I then reinserted the battery and turn on the system. it showed a blank screen right after the hp logo, and it remained like that for a while. After which i got frustrated and decided to remove the battery again just to turn the system off and went to bed.

The next morning I turn on the system  and it was functioning alright, although i had to restart it once cause the task started to malfunction again a little, but generally my system was performing well again. Do you think this was my doing, cause i am really worried, its actually a new system and i wouldn't want this happening again. A similiar incident  has happened in the past though but it wasn't this severe
