@Mr-rio,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Unfortunately, fixing a broken monitor, especially a consumer-grade one like your HP M27f, is usually not practical or cost-effective. Here are some considerations:

  1. Nature of the Damage

    • Physical Damage (Cracked Screen): Unfortunately, the screen (panel) is the most expensive part of a monitor. Replacing it would often cost more than buying a new monitor.
    • Internal Issues (No Display, Flickering): If the damage is internal and not physical, it might be related to the power supply, display board, or connections.
  2. DIY Repairs
    Unless you have electronics repair experience, attempting to fix it yourself is not advisable. Monitors contain sensitive components and capacitors that can retain dangerous electrical charges.

  3. Professional Repairs
    Repair costs might approach or exceed the price of a replacement monitor, especially for a budget-friendly model like the M27f.

  4. Warranty Considerations
    If the monitor is still under warranty and the damage is due to a manufacturing defect, you should contact HP support. However, physical damage or user-induced issues are typically not covered.

  5. Recycling and Replacement
    If repair isn’t an option, I would encourage you to recycle the broken monitor responsibly and consider purchasing a replacement.

If you want to troubleshoot further, you could clarify the specific issue. However, a cracked screen is indeed "game over" for most monitors...

Kind Regards,
