@boboskee

Welcome to HP forums, I see that control zone on the notebook touch-pad is not working.

When did the issue start?

Did you do any software or hardware changes?

Meanwhile:

You could try changing the way the control zone touch-pad works, using the below steps:

  1. On the Start screen, type control panel, then click Control Panel from the list of results.

  2. Click the View by drop-down menu, and select large icons.

  3. Click HP Control Zone.

    Figure: HP Control Zone

    HP Control Zone icon in the Control Panel

  4. Remove the check mark next to Enable Edge Swipes, then click OK.

    The left and right control zones now accept right-click and left-click actions.

Let me know if that works.

Hello sandytechy20; The problem started long ago when I uninstalled the touchpad because my Envy has no way to disable the touchpad. When I go to reinstall it, I can't, there is no driver. When I go to my control panel, as you suggested, there is nothing for the Control Zone anywhere.

Thanks, boboskee

Hi @boboskee, I am the Mr.Robot. It looks like you were interacting with @sandytechy20, but he is out of the office today, so I'll take over from here.

Splendid analysis and remarkable patience shown. It is immensely appreciated.

Try uninstalling the touchpad drivers from the device manager and install the drivers on the PC using HP support assistant.

If the issue still persists try performing a system reset on the PC and check if it helps.
