Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

the touchpad of my device is not working. in the past I have tried fixing it by troubleshooting and by updating the device driver, i have also tried using command prompt to fix the issue. It worked in the past but now it is not working. it keeps on having problems. I switch on my laptop and find that my touchpad is not working and when the issue occurs i cannot find my touchpad settings in the device settings. 

is there a proper permanent solution to this issue? 

hoping for a prompt reply!!!
