HP ENVY Laptop 13-ba0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. Am I missing something obvious? Is there a way to link my HP Envy laptop to a 24fw with audio monitor? The monitor seems to require a physical link to an HDMI or VGA port; and my Envy seems to have only USB ports or Bluetooth.

Firstly VGA port alone won't carry audio signals. What is your HP ENVY Laptop 13-ba0xxx  ? For example

                   HP ENVY Laptop - 13-ba0060tu

Your machine probably has same ports as above machine

  • 1 headphone/microphone combo;
  • 1 AC smart pin;
  • 1 Thunderbolt™ 3 (40Gbps signaling rate) with SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge);
  • 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (HP Sleep and Charge)

You would need an adapter which is similar to the following one

Hi

Thanks very much for your reply. My laptop is a 13-ba0010na. Please can you confirm (a) it the adapter you listed is the right one? (b) which aspects of the adapter are the essential bits? Presumably it has to be:

- dual HDMI 2.0 adapter

- dual monitor HDMI video converter adapter

- Windows compatible

Does it also have to be

- Thunderbolt 3?

- 4K 60Hz?

- dual 4K display HDMI?

Thank you

Just to add, I only need 1 monitor not 2. And the cost of the adapter you listed would be more than the cost of the monitor, so am hoping there's a cheaper option...

Thanks again.
