My laptop is said to have nvidia graphic card. But i cannot find it in device manager. I tried installing nvidia graphic driver given in hp driver website for my laptop. But it says "not compatible nvidia hardware is not found". Even though i downloaded it from hp driver website it is not working. Is there a way to get it installed.

Hi, @Wayne_regan
The product number you posted indicates that your notebook did not come with the nVidia graphics adapter.
Someone at the factory got a little overzealous and slapped a bunch of nVidia graphics stickers on CTO model's cases.
Here is the link to the parts list for that specific CTO product number, and as you can see, the only motherboards offered for that product number are the ones with UMA graphics (Intel HD only).
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=E1P04AV
MOTHERBOARD UMA HM87
MOTHERBOARD UMA HM87 W8STD
MOTHERBOARD UMA HM87 W8PRO
The only difference in the above motherboards is: FreeDOS, Windows 8 'standard' key in BIOS or W8 Pro key in BIOS.
There are several posts like this on the forum.
I just hope you didn't pay for the nVidia graphics your notebook never had.

It would be helpful if you identified your notebook with the ProdID code found in small print on the bottom of your notebook.
When we know the hardware configuration that your notebook was delievered, with then we can begin troubleshooting.
Until then it would be a guessing game.

OK. Thanks.
You own an HOP Envy 15t-j100 Quad edition CTO (configured to order) notebook. Only you and HP know how it was configured when purchased
If you log in and right-click on the desktop, do you see an Intel graphics anmd NVIDIA control panel option in the menu that appears?
Some notebook with discrete graphics will only show other than the Intel graphics in the device manager when the graphics card is selected for use in a game or application.
