Hi
I have just purchased a new HP laptop and having trouble connecting my 2 external monitors to it through my Comsol USB-C to dual HDMI adaptor.
I have an existing HP work computer and it detects adaptor and monitors fine, but this new computer only comes up with "Display connection may be limited" and does not detect any monitor.
Any ideas? Thank you

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/ish_7737544-7737589-16
It has ONE hopeless USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; SuperSpeed 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (total 3), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
Other option: Using USB-A hubs such as https://support.hp.com/ie-en/product/details/hp-usb-3.0-3005pr-port-replicator/model/5256709
