Pavilion 15-cs3006nv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I have problem connecting a monitor to my new laptop HP Pavilion 15-cs3006nv via vga port of a usb-c adapter connected to my laptop. The laptop cannot find/see the monitor.

I bought a usb-c adapter (4 ports - VGA, USB 3, ETHERNET & HDMI) and connected to my Pavilion. Eventhough  ethernet port and USB works perfectly when connecting my external monitor to VGA port cannot find it and doesnt work.

Please help me with that, Tnx!

@tas79

The specs of your machine is

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06455352

Which shows it has   1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does not support video out. Most likely the usb-c adapter  you bought is NOT compatible.

Regards.

Tnx for your reply.

Could you please make it a bit clearer to me...

Is my laptop and its usb-c port not supporting vga or hdmi monitor connection generally with any kind of adapter or the specific adapter (dell ad 200) is not compatible for that ?

If its the 2nd could you pls suggest any compatible adapter with ethernet, usb and vga port?

If its the 1st one is there any other way to connect my monitor to my laptop?

Thank you in advance
