HP Recommended

To prevent my camera from spying (without the small white light next to the lens turning on) on my Elitebook 850G1 I had added a small camera cover that can slide open and close to the build-in webcam lens.

But this morning after many years if came off while sliding it open for a Skype talk.

So I'm wondering how HP is addressing that issue after I just watched this video:

"Is Your Webcam SPYING On You?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muZpR2gjwAQ

Is the light hardwired to the lens on HP Elitebooks, and possibly other models as well?

I trust HP also on this issue... but a confirmation would help some of us to not worry about that, so no need to cover the lens let alone get special anti-spying software for it.
