Hi @Davidkuschke,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect two external screens to your HP Laptop 15 using only one HDMI port, you have a couple of options.

USB to HDMI Adapter: You can use a USB to HDMI adapter. These adapters typically come with software that needs to be installed on your laptop. Once installed, you can connect the adapter to your laptop's USB port and then connect your HDMI cable from the adapter to your external monitor.

USB-C Hub with HDMI: If your laptop has a USB-C port (which can also support DisplayPort Alt Mode), you can use a USB-C hub that includes an HDMI output. This hub will allow you to connect one monitor directly through HDMI and another through the USB-C port (via USB-C to HDMI adapter or directly if the hub has multiple outputs).

Here are the steps to connect two screens using these methods:

USB to HDMI Adapter:

  • Plug the USB end of the adapter into a USB port on your laptop.
  • Connect the HDMI cable from the adapter to your first external monitor.
  • Install any required software for the adapter on your laptop.
  • Repeat the process with a second USB to HDMI adapter for the second external monitor, if necessary.

USB-C Hub with HDMI:

  • Connect the USB-C hub to the USB-C port on your laptop.
  • Connect the HDMI cable from one external monitor directly to the HDMI port on the USB-C hub.
  • If your USB-C hub supports multiple displays, connect the second monitor through another HDMI port on the hub or through a USB-C to HDMI adapter if the hub supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Make sure your laptop's graphics card supports multiple displays, and check the specifications of the USB to HDMI adapters or USB-C hubs to ensure they meet your needs (such as supporting dual displays). This setup should allow you to extend your desktop across two external monitors effectively.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

After confirmation from HP - this laptop does not support mentioned USB or C type adapters will need to purchase a Dock station which will able to support 2 screens
