Hi can I use a non touch replacement screen instead of a replacement touch screen. also i was taking out the cracked screen and on there top left of the screen there is a connection that is attached to the screen and I don't know how to disconnect it and take it off. Can anyone help me please?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
To get the answer to this question, it's not recommended to interchange display assembly as it's not tested by HP.  However, you can change it at your risk. Refer to the article: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05985614.pdf to know more about display assembly. (16 Chapter 3 Illustrated parts catalog)
