HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15t-dq200 CTO

Whenever I use split screen or picture in picture, my screen glitches out. The graphics are fuzzy and the screen turns on and off. Whenever I restart my laptop, the glitching stops. I’m not sure if I have too many games on my laptop or if it’s a software problem, but I miss using these features.

Hi @remei04,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Pavilion X360 Convertible Laptop PC. Screen glitches and fuzzy graphics can be frustrating, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Update your graphics driver: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause display issues. Visit the HP Support website or the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest graphics driver for your specific laptop model.
  • Adjust display settings: Check your display settings and ensure that the resolution and refresh rate are set correctly. Right-click on your desktop, select "Display settings" (or "Screen resolution"), and make sure the settings match your monitor's native resolution and the recommended values.
  • Disable unnecessary background processes: Running too many programs in the background can strain your laptop's resources and cause display issues. Close any unnecessary applications or processes that you're not actively using.
  • Run a virus scan: Malware or viruses can sometimes affect your system's performance, including graphics-related problems. Run a full system scan with your preferred antivirus software to check for any potential threats.
  • Check for overheating: Overheating can also lead to display glitches. Ensure that your laptop's ventilation is unobstructed and use it on a flat, hard surface that allows for proper airflow. Consider using a laptop cooling pad to help dissipate heat more effectively.
  • Reset display settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting your display settings to their default values. Right-click on your desktop, select "Display settings" (or "Screen resolution"), scroll down, and click on "Advanced display settings." From there, click on "Display adapter properties," navigate to the "Monitor" tab, and click on the "Reset..." button.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
