I dropped the notebook and cracked the screen. i have an older HP 15 inch. will the screen work in the newer one?

will a 15-r132wm screen replace a 15-dy1024wm screen

They do not use same part. The old one uses part # 750635-001  and the new one uses part # L63568-001. Therefore the results are unpredictable.

 

You need same part or part(s) from the same family.
