HP ENVY x360 15-cn0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good afternoon, I am a college student and I own an HP ENVY x360 15-cn0xxx. I really want to use my computer to take notes. However, I bought the surface pen and I'm running into trouble. I've been using OneNote to take notes and once in a while when I write, the lines become dotted. I have tried running the touchscreen check and I'm sure my touchscreen is working well. I believe that what happens, is that whenever I put my laptop in a notetaking position, the keys are hitting the table and running a command so OneNote leaves the 'drawing mode'. Any solutions/suggestions? I really want to be able to use my computer to take handwritten notes; it is too much work when this starts happening as it slows me down.

I've had a similar issue. I asked about this question on reddit and received a response which helped. Basically we had to re-flash the firmware which HP probably wants you to send your laptop to them to have done. However, I did it myself and had no issues. The relevant post is here, read the discussion in the comments: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hewlett_Packard/comments/cg9lqi/the_pen_included_with_the_hp_spectre_x360/

I make no guarantees about the safety of the exe file, but I have personally had no issues.
