I just purchased an HP Pavilion 15-eg3071cl laptop. when i am surfing the web and I use two fingers to scroll up or down the screen resizes as if you were switching to a new desktop view. This is so annoying. I do not know what to do to fix this.

Hi @theholey4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you might be experiencing a touchpad gesture issue on your HP Pavilion 15 laptop. The problem could be related to the touchpad settings or drivers. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue.
Update Touchpad Drivers:
- Ensure that your touchpad drivers are up-to-date. You can do this by going to the HP support website, entering your laptop model, and downloading the latest touchpad drivers available.
Adjust Touchpad Settings:
- Open the "Settings" on your laptop.
- Go to "Devices" and then "Touchpad" or a similar option.
- Look for options related to gestures or scrolling.
- Adjust the settings to your preference. You might want to disable or modify the two-finger scrolling behavior.
Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
- Open the "Device Manager" on your laptop (you can do this by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Device Manager").
- Locate the touchpad under "Mice and other pointing devices."
- Right-click on the touchpad, select "Uninstall device," and then restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the touchpad drivers.
Check for Updates:
- Make sure your operating system is up-to-date. Check for Windows updates and install any pending updates.
Remember to restart your laptop after making changes to see if they take effect.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
