no error messages no warning no nothing, but if i just close the laptop and come back or if i get up from the computer for an extended period of time as in the screen goes black or the screen saver comes on, these little bubbles appear and the screen starts to glitch out. it will randomly go to different pages as if i were just randomly clicking on different things and im not even touching anything. the only way i can get it to where i can even use this computer is to completely shut it off ( hold the powere button for 5 secs) then turn it back on. but as soon as i close it and open it back up again the bubbles are back and the screen is glitching uncontrollably...... is there a fix for this? given what i paid, this is unaccaptable

@stegnation

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand your device has issues with the touchscreen the bubbles and constant crashes due to the glitch,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
    • (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Did you run a hardware test on the computer using the F2 key during a restart?
  • These bubbles you're referring to, do they appear in the BIOS screen while you tap F10 during a restart?
  • Did you check with an external monitor?

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Eager to help!

If I have helped you resolve the issue,

feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon

Warning: rant ahead.

I've been all over the internet trying to solve this problem, including numerous HP forums (and you're going to see this post on many of them...forgive me if it gets tedious).

This is a widespread problem...many, many people are trying to find a solution, most with identical symptoms.

Each forum about this seems to have a different HP tech suggesting a different "try this" sort of solution. I haven't yet seen one that worked.

HP is well aware of this problem; they need to "man up" and admit it, then provide us with ONE CORRECT SOLUTION, not an amalgam of suggestions.

I'm sick of diagnosing and fixing my own laptop when HP knows about this.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

@CBSRI

Thank you for responding,

It's great to have you back 😉

I understand your concern and the need to write about the need to obtain "One correct solution", however, please picture this, your computer being a patient and I (in the current circumstances) am a doctor!

I need the name of the patient to understand its history, however, you haven't mentioned the product name or number, yet!

That said, I had asked for a few details and I'm still waiting for your response to my questions to understand the symptoms exactly how you see it, so that I can help you accordingly.

So, I request you to take some time to read through my questionnaire and respond with the answers to help me, help you!

If you would like to thank us for our efforts to help you,

 feel free to give us a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on the "Accept as solution" button.

Have a great day!
