Hi,
Only the scroll feature on the touchpad on my HP 1000 notebook does not work, when I try to open the Synaptics Touchpad V7.5 it says "can not connect to the synaptics controller pointing device". Any help?
Thank you.

Hi,
Try the following.
First, download the Synaptics driver installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp62501-63000/sp62715.exe
Next, open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the Synaptics entry and select Uninstall.
When this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click the Synaptics installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook again.
