HP ENVY x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

touchpad.jpgHey, I have HP ENVY x360 - 15-w102na (ENERGY STAR) with Windows 10  (64-bit) Home. I have a problem with my TouchPad, it doesn't work when i press keys on keyboard. When I press something on keyboard, mouse coursor freezes and I can't move it until I no longer press key. It is bodering me when I play games on my notebook. I tried to install new drivers, but I think it's just a function called SmartSense. Here is screenshot of settings of touchpad clickpad synaptics. I can't turn it off, I move sliders but nothing really changes. If you know how to turn it off, or maybe another solution to this problem, please write! Thanks

@olawitkow,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

1. Go to the Control Panel (large icon view) then > click Mouse > Device Settings tab > Settings. Under the Synaptics Settings, go to Pointing > Sensitivity > Palmcheck and set the palm sensitivity to the minimum and test the game.

If you continue facing the issue, follow the below steps.

Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Defaults

Change the value of the first 3 string entries of PalmKms to 0.

I recommend creating a backup of your registry if you are not comfortable making changes.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
