HP Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,
my Omen came with a touch pad that disables when keys are used so it is impossible to walk and turn in the same time in games (not ideal for a gaming laptop). After failing to find any useful setting and unsuccessfully trying to find the setting in registers only solution that I found was simply disabling or deleting my touchpad drivers. But they update from time to time and I have to delete again. Certainly not a great solution. Any ideas???

Hi @xEverleex

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the touchpad.

Try re-installing the touchpad driver -

1) Right click on the start or Windows icon and open the "Device Manager".
2) Expand the "Mice and other pointing devices".
3) Right click TouchPad and then click on uninstall and restart the computer.

Also, try updating the computer using these steps -

Step 1 Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Click on this link to run Windows Updates troubleshooter.

Step 2 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 3 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
