cursor or touchpad of laptop is working properly but 2 finger slide (sliding with 2 fingers to scroll) and 3 finger gestures (like drag 3 fingres down to minimize all apps and show desktop like that are not working) and after turning on the laptop can't even press the password without clicking ctrl+alt+ delete then only entering is working and some time it is not responding properly

Hi @mohanrao123
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand the concern. Since the touchpad pointer is working but multi-finger gestures, scrolling, sign-in behavior, and occasional responsiveness issues are present, the issue may be related to the touchpad driver, Windows settings, or system files.
Please try these steps on your HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000:
Check Touchpad Gesture Settings
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.
- Ensure Two-finger scrolling is enabled.
- Open Three-finger gestures and verify the desired actions are assigned.
- If settings appear incorrect, select Reset touchpad settings.
Update the Touchpad Driver
- Press Windows + X and open Device Manager.
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click the touchpad device (Synaptics, ELAN, or HID-compliant touchpad) and select Update driver.
- Also check Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates for driver updates.
Reinstall the Touchpad Driver
- In Device Manager, right-click the touchpad device and select Uninstall device.
- Restart the notebook.
- Windows should reinstall the driver automatically during startup.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Turn off the notebook.
- Power it on and repeatedly tap F2.
- Run the Touchpad/Pointer Device Test and complete any available system tests.
Repair Windows System Files
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Run:sfc /scannow
- After completion, restart the notebook.
Address the Sign-in Issue
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
- Remove and reconfigure the current sign-in method if available.
- Install all pending Windows 11 updates and restart the system.
Perform an HP BIOS Update
- Install the latest BIOS available for the HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 from HP Support.
- Restart the notebook after the update completes.
If the touchpad hardware test passes but the gestures still do not function after completing the above steps, the touchpad driver package may need to be refreshed using the latest version available for the notebook model from HP Support.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
