Hi @Jeraphy, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

We understand that you have accidentally deleted the touchpad settings. Here’s what you can do to restore your touchpad settings and functionality:

Enable Touchpad via Keyboard Shortcut – Most laptops have a function key (e.g., Fn + F7 or Fn + F9, varies by brand) to enable/disable the touchpad. Try pressing it to see if the touchpad starts working.

Reinstall Touchpad Driver – Go to Device Manager (Win + X → Device ManagerMice and other pointing devices). If the touchpad is missing or has a yellow warning sign, right-clickUninstall device → Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Check Windows Touchpad Settings – Go to Settings (Win + I) → DevicesTouchpad. If the option is missing, install the latest driver.

Update or Roll Back Drivers – In Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad driver → Update driver → Choose Search automatically. If the issue started after an update, select Roll Back Driver (if available).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
