Hi @Himanshu0x,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Victus 15-fa0555TX laptop touchpad is not working and has been unresponsive for about a month. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

a. Check if Touchpad is Enabled
 - Press Fn + F7 (or the key with a touchpad icon) to toggle the touchpad on/off.
 - Go to Settings → Devices → Touchpad and make sure the touchpad is turned On.

b. Restart Your Laptop
 - Sometimes a simple restart can fix unresponsive drivers or temporary glitches.

c. Check Device Manager
 - Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Mice and other pointing devices.
 - Look for your touchpad (e.g., Synaptics or Precision Touchpad).
  - If there’s a yellow warning icon, right-click and select Update driver → Search automatically.
  - If updating doesn’t help, choose Uninstall device and restart your laptop to let Windows reinstall the driver.

d. Update BIOS & Drivers
 - Open HP Support Assistant → Updates and install any available BIOS or touchpad driver updates.
 - Updated drivers often fix long-standing hardware issues.

e. External Device Check
 - Disconnect any USB mouse or other pointing devices, as some laptops automatically disable the touchpad when another mouse is connected.

f. Perform a Hard Reset
 - Turn off the laptop and unplug the charger.
 - Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.
 - Plug in the charger and turn on the laptop.

I hope this helps.
